Realme Pad X, Watch 3, 5G-Led AIoT Products to Be Unveiled at U


  • Realme is set to unveil a range of 5G-led AIoT products by the end of this month. The digital launch event named Hey Creatives will take place on July 26 at 12:30pm IST. A teaser by the Chinese company has also indicated that the Realme Pad X and Realme Watch 3 will be a part of the launch. A PC monitor and two earphones are also expected to be included in the launch, although not many details are available now. The Realme Pad X with an 11-inch display and Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC was launched in China this May.

    Realme Pad X

    The Realme Pad X features a 6.3-inch screen with a Full HD+ display and a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC, coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone runs Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box, with face support unlocks and fingerprint sensors. On the camera front, the Realme Pad X sports an 8MP rear camera, coupled with an LED flash. It also has an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calling. Connectivity options on the smartphone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/ A-GPS and USB Type C port along with 3.5mm audio jack support as well. There’s also support for dual SIM cards when using two nano SIMs in one slot or one nano SIM card and one microSD card slot when using two nano SIM cards in the other slot or one microSD card in the other slot respectively. Battery capacity is listed as 3000mAh on Realme’s website but no details about its battery life have been mentioned yet.

    Realme Pad X Plus

    The Realme Pad X Plus is a slightly more powerful variant of the Realme Pad X with a 6.5-inch screen and a Full HD+ resolution. The smartphone runs Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box, with face unlock and fingerprint sensors. On the camera front, the Realme Pad X Plus sports a 12MP rear camera, coupled with an LED flash. There’s also an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calling. Connectivity options on the smartphone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/ A-GPS and USB Type C port along with 3.5mm audio jack support as well. Battery capacity is listed as 3500mAh on Realme’s website but no details about its battery life have been mentioned yet.

    Realme F1 Pro

    The Realme F1 Pro is the top-of-the-line variant of the Realme F1 series smartphones announced by Realme earlier this month at IFA 2018 in Berlin, Germany at a price tag of Rs 16999 (approx $297). The smartphone features a 6GB RAM + 128GB storage configuration at its base model while it comes in two variants – 4GB RAM + 64 GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage configuration at its top end models respectively priced at Rs 17999 ($325) and Rs 19999 ($410).

    Realme F1 Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 octa-core processor and has a 4GB RAM + 64GB storage configuration. There’s no information on the battery capacity of the smartphone yet. Realme F1 Pro runs Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box and also supports a face unlock feature, fingerprint sensor, dual rear cameras and a 5MP front-facing camera with video calling capabilities. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/ A-GPS and USB Type C port along with 3.5mm audio jack support as well.



    Realme X

    Realme X is the least expensive variant of the Realme F1 series smartphones that was announced earlier this month at IFA 2018 in Berlin, Germany at a price tag of Rs 12999 ($199). The smartphone features a 6GB RAM + 64GB storage configuration at its base model while it comes in two variants – 4GB RAM + 32GB storage and 6GB RAM + 64GB storage configuration at its top end models respectively priced at Rs 13999 ($209) and Rs 14999 ($217) for the Indian market respectively for now. Realme X runs Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box with the company’s realme X UI on top of it which is based on the Android 9.0 Pie update that’s expected to be released later this year. Realme X has a 5.84-inch HD+ (720 x 1520 pixels) display at its base model, while the higher-end models have an 18:9 aspect ratio display panel with a taller 18:9 aspect ratio display at 6 inches. Realme X also comes in two variants – with 2GB and 4GB, RAM + 32GB or 64GB storage configurations and it has a 16MP + 2MP dual rear camera setup at the back and a 16MP + 2MP dual rear camera setup at the front for selfies. The smartphone  FMWhatsapp is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor along with Adreno 506 GPU for processing tasks and has a non-removable 3,000mAh battery capacity that supports fast charging technology via a USB Type C port. Realme F1 Pro is expected to be launched in India in the next couple of months, while Realme X could be available as well when that happens. With that, it seems like the company will be focusing on building a good smartphone lineup with a series of smartphones that are available at different price points.

The smartphone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo-based OxygenOS 5.2 operating system out of the box along with ColorOS 5.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box, which means it will receive an update to Android 9 Pie in the coming months as well.
