D2R Patch 2.5 Terror Zones Farming Guide - Best Terror Zones Ar

  • Diablo 2 Resurrected Patch 2.5 is coming soon with Ladder 2 and the new Terror Zones feature. As one of the most important updates of Diablo 2 Resurrected 2.5, Terror Zones has attracted the attention of many players, bringing them the opportunity to gain more EXP. In this guide, we will introduce you to some of the best farming Terror Zones in each act according to the test of D2R Patch 2.5.

In the Diablo 2 Resurrected Patch 2.5 PTR, there are three factors that can differentiate a terror zone from good or bad.

The first is monster density. In the game, some areas have a lot of monsters, and some areas have no monsters, but the more monsters the player kills, the more loot items the better. So that's definitely a key factor.

The second one is that monsters are relatively easy to kill. It's easy to understand, easy-to-kill monsters can lower players' budget and sometimes get good loots. Like Pits, this is a very popular level 85 area where monsters are relatively easier to kill than in other areas of the world and can drop the same Cheap D2R Ladder Items. So that's definitely a key factor as well.

The third one is how long it takes you to Teleport to that area or between monsters. For example, if you look at the second and third levels of the Halls of Dead, there is an instant waypoint where there are a lot of monsters and a high density. But you'll also notice that you have to teleport long distances between other different levels, which can waste some time. So teleport distance is another key factor.

D2R Patch 2.5 Terror Zones Farming Guide - Best Terror Zones Areas In Each Act In Diablo 2 Resurrected

With all that said, we've compiled the best Diablo 2 Resurrected Terror Zones below. Keep in mind that this is only the D2R 2.5 PTR release and Blizzard should roll out more updates and changes before Terror Zones goes live.

Best Farming Terror Zones In Act 1 In D2R Patch 2.5

    Tristram

For act 1 best farming area, the first location is Tristram, which is a great place for Magic Find. You can start at the Stony Field teleport, or run along the path until you find the red portal. Then you'll find that Tristram has a bunch of Elite Packs that spawn in there, and you can also farm Wirt's Legs and other items here in preparing yourself for a cow run afterward.

    Secret Cow Level

The second best farming location in Act 1 is the Secret Cow Level. The density of monsters is high here, and their slow speed, low resistance, and clumping behavior make them easy to kill in bunches, so it is easier for players to obtain different loots and a lot of experience.

Best Farming Terror Zones In Act 2 In D2R Patch 2.5

Halls of the Dead Level 2 and 3

In the locations of the Halls of the Dead Levels 2 and 3 in Diablo 2 Resurrection Act 2, you may find them a little bit questionable, so you can just take the waypoint right from town. Then you'll find narrow corridors where there's some fairly steady density of monsters, and those monsters are easy to kill as well, and by the end of level 3, you'll have sparkly chests.

From this, you can see that Halls of the Dead Levels 2 and 3 are a good place to farm because of the high density of monsters, easy kills, and no need to teleport or travel long distances.

    Tal Rasha's Tombs

The second best farming area for Act 2 is Tal Rasha's Tombs, which is easy to find. You just start in the canyon all the locations along the perimeter, and there is a massive density of monsters and sparkly chests. This is a very popular farming area for players.

Best Farming Terror Zones In Act 3 In D2R Patch 2.5

    Spider Forest and Flayer Jungle

For Act 3 areas, we could put the Spider Forest/Flayer Jungle locations together. If players run through the area with a corpse explosion Necro or a Javazon or anything with a lot of area effect damage, there are tons of flares and flare cams, so you can actually kill a lot of monsters. It's almost like a second Secret Cow Level, but you don't have to go through the process of getting Wirt's Leg.

Best Farming Terror Zones In Act 5 In D2R Patch 2.5

Crystalline Passage, Frozen River, and Ancient's Way

Seeing this, you may wonder if we forgot to write Act 4. In fact, we skipped it, because river flame and cast sanctuary are already meta-farming locations, and Plain of Despair has always been a sort of niche but a viable area as well, so we go straight to Act 5. The next three places we will combine together are the Crystalline Passage, Frozen River, and Ancients Way. In this list, the reason why you didn't see the Icy Cellar and Glacial Cavern is that there will be some annoying monsters that spawn, such as dolls, souls and frenzy minotaurs, and many annoying things that want to kill you. But most of the areas we listed in the list are relatively narrow corridors, easy-to-kill monsters, and they are cold immune without fire immune. So this will be a key location for a fire sorceress or a fire druid.

    Nihlathak's Temple

The last location to be written in Act 5 is the entire Nihlathak's Temple, which includes the Hall of Pain, which is actually Nihlathak himself. There are a lot of monsters to kill here, the density is high, and you can also kill Nihlathak. But this location has some magical monsters, which is a disadvantage for Hammerdin.
