Begin adding useful content from the beginning. Add content from levels 70 - 99 of Herblore if there isn’t enough. Reduce the severity xp curve, starting at 70. While skills should be more difficult to RuneScape Gold increase than 10 times, it shouldn't be as hard.
It wasn't an issue in the past however it was required to get to a certain level. It's now a problem for many because there's content up there. There needs to be a way of making mid-level content more valuable and not just a way of achieving an objective (higher levels of content) however, I'm not sure what that might be like.
A probably small portion of the community actually participate for the grind and sense of achievement. Mainly the people who are aiming to master 200m skills, they do not gain anything generally through content, but still love playing. To me, runescape is a game that has no real end game. What about killing bandos for 200 kills in a single trip? Why? What is the answer?
Jagex has introduced an event in beta for the Mad Scientist costume. This time it is Barrows. It's nearly impossible for lower skilled people to finish the last portion. It should be easy for players of medium level. It's more difficult than I thought.
