NBA 2K MT on next-gen is currently a candidate for Game of the Year in my book, but it seems a significant update is about the way that is designed to enhance the stellar visuals. One of the biggest issues they'd was gaining entry to the players since 2K wasn't allowed inside the Bubble performing the NBA restart. That said, Boenisch says in the video below, the 2K group has scanned over 40 players that should be added into the game in an upgrade scheduled to arrive shortly. I attempted to get a listing of the players, but that wasn't available currently. However, I was told that 2K is needing to be extremely creative in efforts to include as many scans as possible--even traveling using their camera rig to participant's cities and houses to finish the procedure.
In prior years, we would not have seen this much transparency in communicating from the developers and executive producer. This really is a refreshing change and very honestly, this openness with the community may have something to do with the overall quality of the next-gen product which is a masterclass introduction to the new consoles. Two weeks following the 2020 NBA Draft, 2K Sports released the complete rookie evaluations for each prospect in NBA 2K21 ahead of this 2020-21 season. On the first launch, LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo each rated as the top-rated players at 97, respectively. Evaluating the incoming rookie class this year was a small challenge since prospects didn't play in the NCAA championship and others had intermittent paths into the Buy NBA 2K21 MT, such as LaMelo NBAll and R.J. Hampton. NBAsed on those constraints, the first NBAtch of ratings could change once the season starts.
